Geek Dad - Ray Goldfield May 28, 2024

Overall, this issue is fairly low-stakes, but it's much funnier than Howard's writing usually is and makes good use of the elements that Harley started with, before she became the cosmic trickster of the DCU. This fits in nicely with what Howard has been building in Catwoman, as well. Read Full Review

To conclude, this issue skillfully weaves in elements from previous stories, adding depth and continuity. Batman-News - Jack Whyte May 28, 2024

This is a build-up issue done right. We get enough fun stuff in the forms of visual gags and character moments to justify a whole issue's worth of storytelling, while adeptly setting up a larger looming conflict. A lackluster backup needn't scare fans away: this issue is another lukewarm win. Read Full Review

The Batman Universe - Jaymee Remolde May 31, 2024

Good art and a bad story do not make a good combination for me. I like fun, but this is just silliness on top of silliness. As a palate-cleanser, silliness is welcomed and required, but I like some sanity in my silliness. This story just does not have it for me. Read Full Review

This issue more or less worked. The character isn't going anywhere new or interesting and the jokes don't have much bite, but it was breezy and easy to read as one wants HQ to be and avoided the tonal problems that some recent issues have had. The backup story was fine.

Meh writing, bad art, they're just not really trying right now. I've hated this art style they've had on Harley for a long time now and it will never work for me. I love the character and I've liked some aspects of the plotting and stories but it hasn't been nearly strong enough to make up for the eye-bleed-inducing cartoon network style art. Having Harley get duped by Mr. Freeze is an embarrassment for the character. I think it's time I finally give up on Harley until they start making it for grownups again.
