    This issue was a bit heavy on the setup, but watching Superman and Wonder Woman in the Eternity Institute and Batman looking for clues in San Francisco was still great.  We are still far from seeing the Justice League, but the pieces of the puzzle are beginning to come together, even as the mystery of Jackson Alpert widens.  Thony Silas continues nailing the art and as usual, I can't wait for next issue.     The negativity towards the heroes, while realistic, weighs everything down a bit too much and makes it less fun than it should be, but it's a solid enough ending for this story. Hopefully, as Josh has said, this lays the groundwork for future stories and more characters in this universe, as it's a good start, imperfect as it is. Read Full Review

    The Batman Universe - Bill Heuer

    Being the Batman fan that I am and with how much I enjoyed the standalone prequel comic, I know I would not mind a spin off series with Langstroms stories in Gotham. Seeing more Justice League stories from this alternate universe would require better villains and stronger plot lines. Overall, I amglad we got this prequel series and I will just have to cross my fingers for some more Vampire Batman. Read Full Review
