"Justice League International" is a quirky little title. Nine months in, I still cannot quite define the need for this title in DC's lineup other than to house refugees from the DC Universe that have nowhere else to go. The inclusion of O.M.A.C. pretty well clinches that theory. For now, with O.M.A.C. making the appearance and a crossover with "The Fury of Firestorm: the Nuclear Men" coming up, I'm onboard. So the book has some plus points for housing cancelled comic refugee O.M.A.C. and delivering Godiva's perspective on things. The art is lush and visually engaging with the plot trundling along at an entertaining pace. This new direction has pushed the book out of its slump, but at the same time sacrificed most of its female cast. Its light tone doesn't allow Jurgens to pull off the humour he tries to inject into it. But on the whole it is solid slice of super-heroic action. Read Full Review

Really, this story arc should feel like an epic but this issue continues to have the same problems as the last: the story never progresses and the mood is far from what it should be. The only thing you need to know from this issue is that O.M.A.C. joins the JLI for their flight to Paris and the team have to fight Firestorm and friends. Unfortunately, and the biggest kick to JLI followers, the story will be continuing in Firestorm #9. I would laugh if the plot of JLI, which has moved hardly once since issue 7, actually progresses in another title. It certainly didn't this issue. Read Full Review
