It's a little confusing that the cover advertises a new take on Sgt. Rock when the book focuses mostly on the turmoil within and between the members of his squad. It's also strange that the backup story upstages the main story so easily. Despite these irregularities, though, the title is starting to show signs of a coherent narrative direction toward less generic conflict. Hopefully, the trend of developing Rock and his crew as interesting individuals instead of interchangeable trigger fingers continues next month. Read Full Review
