The art was done by relative newcomer Sergio Arino. His stuff is very solid. I don't always talk about inkers here ... a terrible bias on my part. But I have to commend Scott Hanna. He has inked Andy Clarke, Claude St. Aubin, and now Arino and has maintained a consistent look to this book. Bravo Mr. Hanna! And now a Brainiac family feud is on the horizon! Read Full Review
If Bedard's bringing this kind of intrigue to his run on Green Lantern Corps, one of my favorite titles, then I know the comic's in good hands. I'd definitely recommend this title to anybody versed in DC's cosmology who'd like to see a more serious take on the concepts with a harder SF spin. Read Full Review
"R.E.B.E.L.S." seems to be aiming to become a companion title to "Green Lantern Corps," which is a smart idea but is lacking the actual marketing to draw those readers over, for the moment. If Bedard's plan is going to work, someone needs to let readers know that the two are drawing closer together. Ugly covers and a misleading title certainly aren't going to help matters. "R.E.B.E.L.S." could survive, but it's going to need a better PR campaign behind it. Read Full Review
