    This is a nice tribute to the Atom and Hawkman stories of yesteryear -" both the ones under the title of "The Atom and Hawkman" and elsewhere, be it in "Hawkman" under the pen of Geoff Johns or in the Silver Age issues of either character's solo titles. Sook and Pasarin both make solid cases to work on the Atom more in the future, and I would gladly welcome the art of either. Read Full Review

    If you picked up a Blackest Night checklist at your local comics shop, feel free to go ahead and circle The Atom and Hawkman with your favorite indigo marker. Alongside Green Lantern #50, also released this week, the story featured here deserves to be read. Even with their flaws, this issues 22 pages far surpass the other 1,200+ printed by DC under the same crossover banner. Read Full Review

    Eye On Comics - Don MacPherson

    As has been the case with a couple of the other "resurrected" comics DC issued this month, the publisher pulls a fast one on readers and retailers alike when it comes to the content. This was solicited as being illustrated by Ryan Sook, whose work on his last project (Wednesday Comics) was much celebrated. While Sook does provide some of the visuals in this issue, he's joined fellow artist Fernando Pasarin, who provides linework for latter pages in the book in his competent but unremarkable style. Furthermore, Sook's work here is far more conventional in tone than we're accustomed to seeing from him. Still, I did like his take on Indigo 1 as well as multiple incarnations of the Black Lantern Hawks. Read Full Review

    As for this comic, it was more of the same Blackest Night stuff that I'm SO used to reading. Hero meets BL from their past. Hero and BL battle. Hero eventually finds way to defeat BL. Rinse and repeat. Read Full Review
