The team of Congorilla and Mikaal Tomas work to unlock the secrets behind the toxic Omega Man's dark energy and embark on a quest to find the Fountain of Youth, encountering diverse heroes from the DCU along the way--like Animal Man, Sirocco and a certain wonder dog named Rex.
I liked the story a lot, though, and anyone reading the current JLA story will probably enjoy this step to the side to see whats going on with some of the absent characters. Read Full Review
Nor is the issue helped much by Brett Booth's artwork. As in the recent Green Lantern: Larfleeze Christmas Special, Booth's work is characterized by overly muscular heroes, ineffective facial work, and a generally scratchy approach to line-work. In short, the issue has an unattractive '90s-esque quality to it. Even so, JLA fans not enamored with the main series may still find something to enjoy in this brief spinoff. Read Full Review
