Another great ish by Peter David here. So Sylvia didn;t try to help Wally's grandmother but was sent to the hospitalto be treated for her heart attack. Sylva gets a bit of karma back at her for having this now careless nihilistic attitude when she is visited by L-Ron. Driving home at night from the bar L-Ron smashes her car and throws her off road seriously injuring her.

Interestingly enough when the police and ambulance come they have trouble getting her out of the car. L-Ron seen sleeping in the woods, a bear attempts to sneak up on him and L-Ron puts his hand through the bear's chest killing it instantly. Waking up he sees the car crash and helps the emergency crew to save Sylvia. Realizing he did this, we find out L-Ron is an automaton that has once had the evil Despero control his huge purple body. Despero is trying to regain the body to rule over he world again.

We also learn here a little more about the mysterious boy named Wally. Visiting his grandmother with his grandfather he talks to his grandpa that death is nothing to fear for it is as natural as birth. Having no control of your body at birth and at death, the perfect symmetry he calls it. Linda's father leaving Sylvia's room talk to Wally and his grandfather but Wally strangely introduces himself as God. While we have no proof of anything, from his many strange appearances throughout the series so far he has definetly been watching Supergirl.

Linda while visiting her friend Dick's mother at the hospital runs into Lex Luthor's x-wife Elizabeth. Elizabeth does not know who Linda Danvers is but she knows Supergirl. I'm not sure why Supergirl does not even think about revealing herself to Elizabeth because this Peter David run is connected to the 1994 4 issue mini series and post crisis timeline. Elizabeth has proven to be Mae's friend especially in the 4 issue mini series helping her wake up to Lex's true intentions when Mae was dating him at the time.

Despero fully takes over L-Ron and Supergirl fights him, he tries to mind control her but she burst out of his grip with fiery wings pertruding from her back like an angel. Love this. more
