Comics Bulletin - Shawn Hill
Jul 24, 2007Because its Perez and Wiacek, everythings clear and shiny and bright, save for Batman, who amusingly remains a creature of the night even in the distant future. Waid mines many aspects of DC history to construct this rather classic tale, which is really just a quest with several teams pursuing a powerful object simultaneously. Classic formulas are classics for a reason; the only drawback here is Waid has saddled himself with a lackluster version of the iconic future teen team, who pale completely next to the retro versions brought to such vivid life recently in the JLoA/JSoA crossover.
