    SciFiPulse - Patrick Hayes Jul 25, 2013

When two characters team up for a miniseries one always wonders if it'll be any good. After reading this book, I know it's not good–it's awesome! Gore, guffaws and epic action is to be found in this tale from Seeley, Leister, Badilla, and Dillon. You have no soul for a deadite to swallow if you don't buy this book and love it! Highest possible recommendation. Read Full Review

    Newsarama - Rob McMonigal Jul 25, 2013

Tim Seeley absolutely nails Ash's character, shooting out witticisms almost as fast as bullets, which is a great contrast to the overly serious Cassie Hack. He does lose a few points for the requisite fight and origin exposition, which are crossover tropes by this point. Daniel Leister's characters explode off the page, coming at the reader from odd angles in medium to close-range shots that allow him to provide extensive character details (like Ash's perpetually smiling face) Read Full Review

Seeley shows from the get go that while this match may be made in heaven, these are people that thrive in hell. Ash and Cassie have agreed to team up, but as two lone wolves. I cant wait to see where next month takes our heroes. This book provides nothing but gore soaked fun. Read Full Review

Comic Book Therapy - Cody "The Thorverine" Ferrell Jul 24, 2013

If you're a big fan of Cassie, Ash, or both, you're absolutely going to love this team-up. Seely's introductions get all the set-up out of the way and it looks like it's going to be hacking and chainsaw slashing action the rest of the way. Read Full Review

Major Spoilers - Matthew Peterson Jul 27, 2013

All in all, it's a clever, well-written story that fits well within both characters' canonicities, and makes for a good read. The over-the-top nature of Ash's movie adventures makes his easy acceptance of Cassie's arcane trappings, while she proves to be more than a match for his fast-talking mojo. All in all, Army Of Darkness Vs. Hack/Slash #1 hits the spot, delivering a fast, fun, readable story that lets both main characters strut their stuff, earning 4 out 5 stars overall. Bruce Campbell should be proud, wherever he's got to... Read Full Review
