This issue really brings the heat and amps up the action and emotions in a big way. David Pepose captures the emotions of the team and Captain Planet as they try and save the world and leaves the reader on the edge of their seat. The action is top notch, as the back-and-forth battle between Captain Planet and Captain Pollution is reminiscent of Rocky vs Drago. But equally as captivating is the Planeteers battle to save Gaia against all odds. Then you hit what happens at the end of the issue, and Pepose catches us all off guard with one of the most emotional twists of the year and possibly the decade. Read Full Review

If the dialogue were tweaked just a bit, and the art was allowed to embrace the epic level nature of the struggle, Captain Planet could really turn into something remarkable. As it is it a step in the right direction from an initial premise that seemed to have its heart in the right place. It's just a matter of finding the right direction to move it in. And for the most part.Paposse has foound the right direction. Hopefully he gets a chance to explore more with the character inthe future. Read Full Review
CAPTAIN PLANET #6 never asks, "Can the world be saved? It asks, "Why are we waiting to do it? With nuclear meltdowns, eco-themed smackdowns, and teamwork that refuses to quit, the story packs both spectacle and a scrappy soul, though it blitzes through quieter moments as if afraid they'll melt under the pressure. The art serves up disaster with flair, and the characters rise (literally and figuratively) to the occasion.
