Comic Crusaders - Dawn of Comics

    Jun 01, 2016

As a fan of the movies and the to show I'm probably more the target audience than those unaware of the Evil Dead franchise but I truly believe that anyone new reader could pick up the trade for Furious Road and enjoy as much as I have. Sometimes with books the story feels like the writer are trying too hard to be cleaver or creative and original but this feels easy and simple while being cleaver, creative and original. This whole creative team have done an amazing job at bringing a story that's easy to follow, full of action and interesting. This is one of the titles I look forward to the most each month. I think the zombie genre has been done to death in just about every medium but what makes the Army of Darkness franchise work is the humor in it. There's no such thing as being too over the top in a book where nuns haul machine guns and werewolves ride motorcycles. This is cheesy horror at its best. If you're new to The Evil Dead world, then this book is a great introduction. Every issue so far has been excellent and the newest one is no exception. Read Full Review
