You should be careful what you wish for.
VENGEANCE, NEVADA #1 has a lot going for it " great art and even better characters. Yet despite this, the plot can be a bit confusing, as it's hard to tell how each scene is connected to any of the others. Nevertheless, it's a solid start for the team of B. J. Overall, even though this issue raises a bunch of questions (as expected in a number one) and there is a lot of stuff going on, I had a good time reading this book. Mendelson does a great job establishing characters as well as utilizing some great action scenes. Perhaps what is most enticing about this book is that the book is only $1 on Comixology. With such a cheap price tag for an engaging debut issue, you get a lot of bang for your buck. Read Full Review
Vengeance, Nevada encompasses many of the things I love about indie comics. New characters ripe for exploring, art that's raw yet easy to follow, and a story that feels fresh because it's told in a world free from the constraints writing for the Big Two present. Read Full Review

Vengeance, Nevada has clearly sparked an interest in me where, like many other indie comics, I can't help but find myself wanting to know more. It's going to appeal to the nerds and was definitely written by one. I get strong vibes of the Fifth Element mixed in with early Brian Singer X-Men and a few other nods you'll pick up on along the way. It just feels like this introduction could have almost been stretched out into three issues rather than just one. Read Full Review
