When a reclusive former college professor named William Pike receives the key to a strange box, he soon finds himself the target of a relentless bounty hunter in a plastic ape mask. With the help of a teenage girl, Pike must travel to the farthest reaches of Alaska as he tries to unravel the mystery of the box and how everything relates to his father's death.
With any series it’s bound to have growing pains and with all of the changes Deadhorse has undergone it’s no surprise that not everything in the issue worked out. The thing is, if you were to start the series by reading this issue not a lot of what I’m saying would have any effect on your reading enjoyment. If you're looking for a great indie comic that is a unique take on what a mystery can be, this comic is for you. I believe you will find that this series is strange and funny and very, very clever. I am a big fan and advocate for this comic so read it! Read Full Review
