    While picking up a much-loved story after 20 years is a complicated thing, 30 Days of Night: Falling Sun #1 does it perfectly. With Barness writing masterfully guiding readers through unsettling final moments of calm before darkness falls and all hell breaks loose again while also establishing the quieter horror of the complacency that time delivers and Shehans gorgeous (and gory) art, this first issue is the perfect descent into a nightmare that readers wont be able to get enough of.     30 Days of Night: Falling Sun #1 is a truly stellar premiere issue. Rodney Barnes and Chris Shehan craft a tale that has the making of standing up to the original story. Their partnership of talented horror writing and stunningly terrifying imagery makes this series something you won't want to miss. Hitting the marks for those fans of Steve Niles and Ben Templesmith's creation while also allowing space for new readers to join the fray, 30 Days of Night: Falling Sun is a must-read horror series.     30 Days of Night: Falling Sun builds a new and intriguing horror story on the foundations of one of the best. This one reads so well with amazing pacing and some engaging characters. It's brutal, bloody, and pulls no punches with it's violent imagery. This was a great way to kick off the next chapter of 30 Days of Night! Read Full Review

    30 Days of Night: Falling Sun #1 is one of the early titles for IDW's horror line IDW Dark and should be a fun return for longtime fans of the property. It has a lot going for it with some nice underlying themes and a debut issue that new and longtime fans can both enjoy. If you want a vampire comic to dive into as the nights get longer and weather colder, 30 Days of Night has returned just in time. Read Full Review
