Overall, this still hasnt proven itself essential if you arent an Adams fan already – though I would of course question the sanity of not being one, everyones entitled to their opinion, and if you dont share that one, youll like-as-not wonder what all the fuss is about. But if youre like me and were sold on the first issue, this pushes the story forward in fun and interesting ways. Whats more, it does look like Ryall is building up a story whose payoff is going to be utterly delightful. I cant wait for the next issue. Read Full Review
Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency #2 is as much of a conundrum as the man himself. It loses a lot of the fun interplay and character work from the first issue, but that's somewhat offset by improved artistic choices and the clearer focus on how Dirk operates. It's almost as if these first two issues were produced by separate creative teams, which is probably not what they were going for. The ride's still enjoyable, though, just for different reasons.
