We The Nerdy - Marshall Bruno
May 31, 2016Let us be clear, neither We The Nerdy nor the author condones drug use or any illicit activity. This story is just one that is steeped in those themes and draws an audience that enjoys such activities. This is a very mature story and should not be read by a child. Read Full Review

Big Comic Page - Mike Annerino
May 24, 2016Although this inaugural issue runs a tad bit too long, its still a total blast to read. As a fan of the source material, its a perfect adaptation. It keeps the look and feel of Thompsons book and Gilliams movie while looking at it through a comic book lens. Even if youve never seen the movie or read the book, this will be a wild ride for you. You definitely should be checking this out and I know that I cant wait for the next issue. In fact, I wouldnt be surprised if I pick up the whole graphic novel when its released down the line. Doom Rocket - Brandy Dykhuizen
May 31, 2016Little does a fantastic job portraying the many sides one of the 20th Century's most uniquely full-throttle Americans. Intellectual at heart and a complete and utter mess by design, Thompson and his adventures lend themselves well to comic book format. I'm ever so grateful for such a respectfully helter-skelter retelling. Read Full Review

May 27, 2016While we aren't going to be getting anything new from Thompson (if you don't count Garry Trudeau's depiction of Duke), but it would be nice to see a new interpretation of his work that we haven't already seen"especially from this creator. Read Full Review

Comic Bastards - Chris Smith
May 26, 2016Anytime a comic artist is able to successfully adapt a great work of literature it's a point for the comic industry. Often looked upon as literature's lowbrow cousin, these attempts at adapting famous fiction to comics are always a good boost of energy for the comic world. This is especially true when someone as good as Little does a book as famous as Fear and Loathing. The bottom line is that if you like Hunter S. Thompson you should grab this version before re-reading your old novel, you might just find that it's even more fun. Read Full Review

Newsarama - David Pepose
May 26, 2016Bringing Hunter S. Thompson's iconic series to comic books seems like a no-brainer, and while Troy Little works valiantly to adapt this one-of-a-kind work, IDW Publishing's Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas #1 never quite transcends its licensed spinoff status. Read Full Review

May 30, 2016So myinitial fear and loathing thankfully turned out to be unfounded, as Troy Little has immense respect for the good Dr. as you can see from this interview with him. He tried to get into the mind of Dr. Thompson in all sorts of ways, even renting a red convertible to drive across the desert and going to the Mint 400!The man is dedicated and it shows, it leaves me looking forward to seeing the rest of this savage journey to the heart of the American dream!
