    Although Bisley's art is superb, Fistful of Blood is clearly the writer's show.  Kevin Eastman's introduction of supernatural elements is stunningly well-developed.  It does not feel artificial or forced.  His twists at the end are surprising, but they also flow from the plot.  He has been in comics since 1984, working in this industry for over four decades, and he clearly has not lost a step.     Bearing in mind that the story was conceived fifteen years ago, before various other incarnations of its themes – the 2011 film Cowboys vs. Aliens is a prime example – its a fun, violent series of few words that genre fans will appreciate. In fact, in the extra features (which mostly consist of character art development), Eastman reveals that he would like to take the concept to the big screen, so we may be seeing more of his Western world in due course.
