It's as creepy as ever as we're nearing the end. I don't think it will end well for the characters, especially considering all the events of this issue.

The usual MM black humor is here, and King is going FULL KING. Gerads really varied his colors both within and compared to past issues. Given the level of success of this series, he could just stick with what works, but he's clearly pushing himself. Usually, the slow pace reflects something deeper, but I may have just missed the underlying tone leading up to the final reveal.

Remember when comics featured interesting Superheroes fighting interesting Supervillains with evil plans? Remember when you got a fight, character stuff and plot stuff all in one issue? Remember when comics were just straight up fun? Abnett does and he makes the sort of comics that have fallen out of popular favor but never out of my heart!

If you read The Terrifics, I don't have to tell you how fun Plastic Man can be. His limited series give us an insight, a look at his life, or three lives to be precise: a criminal, an ex-con, and a superhero. All of that sprinkled with surreal humor the character is known for. What's there not to love?!
