The DREADNOKS return! When a COBRA satellite drops form spacer to crash in the Australian outback, Scarlett and the Special Missions team enter the race to retrieve it. They face not only the near-impossible challenge of finding the space debris in millions of square miles of barren and dangerous wastelands. The murderous, marauding, motorcycle maniacs who call themselves the Dreadnoks are in the neighborhood and led by Zartan!
Over all, this is a good opener for the new story, if a little slow. Still, what it doesn't deliver now, it is certainly teasing around the corner. Read Full Review

G.I. JOE: Special Missions #5 does a good job of reintroducing Zartan and giving an explanation of how and why the master of disguise would put a crew like the Dreadnoks together. The issue introduces Buzzer, Ripper, Thrasher, Crusher, and an unnamed character I'm guessing to be either Zanya or Zarana. Worth a look. Read Full Review
This is a decent read for long time G.I. Joe fans, or those who are looking for a classic, straightforward comic, but doesn't add a whole lot of value for readers looking for their G.I. Joe stories to dig a little deeper. In the end this issue is a standard set up for further stories going forward, only time will tell what Dixon & Rosado do with the seeds they have planted.
