Kidnappers are jacking the DNA of some of Mega-City One's most elite citizens, then growing clones to torture on live TV -- unless the elite pay up big-time. There's only one Judge tough enough to stop them, and he's just signed on to be the bagman. But a double-cross within the Justice Department sends Dredd straight into the crosshairs of hundreds of perps who would love to relieve a Judge of all that money.
I really love this series, and I know I am always going to get a great read from it. If the first four issues are anything to go by, I think this series will be sticking around for a while. The only thing that bothers me about this book is the lack of online reviews it seems to garner each time it is released. It really does deserve to have a lot more coverage that it gets, as well as having more readers that it probably has too. Do yourselves a favour and check out the last two issues of this one, I think you will be very happy that you did. Read Full Review
As a longtime reader of Judge Dredd since the Quality days, the success that IDW is finding with this new series is very exciting. Overall, JUDGE DREDD #4 is a good read. I'm really liking this series, it's very different than a lot of comics out there. And after watching the film, I like it even more. IDW's JUDGE DREDD book is a great way to introduce American readers to this character. It's essentially a Dredd gateway drug. We get two very good stories by writer Duane Swierczynski, that take a look at different sides of the future way of life in Mega City One."We've Got You Now" - 3/5"Fugitive Daze" - 5/5Overall, I still highly recommend this issue and this series, but if you're new jump on at issue one, and if you can't get that one from your LCS, pick up issue three. Same score as last time for Judge Dredd #4, since it misstepped over some interesting things, but based on what I've seen hopefully beginning to develop from the creative team, and the potential in this story, I could definitely see the series as a whole soon going up a notch in my book.
