    With the pets taking the spotlight in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic #23, readers experienced adventure in Ponyville from a new perspective, with the help of well-crafted artistic storytelling. This is the perfect issue to hook a kid on comics, as the art makes the story so easy to follow.     Overall, this was was a surprisingly fun issue. The pets, especially Angel, are a lot to watch as they execute the bunny's plan to rescue their owners. Sadly, while the antagonist was a pretty cool creation, the ending is just rushed. The direction it went in wasn't necessarily bad, it's just that it happens way too fast.     My only complaint is the lack of dialogue, which is understandable given the cast. But no talking means the comic reads very quickly. Its a contained story, but theres less here to grasp than previous issues. However, the art is top notch all the way through (save some clumsy renditions of Twilight Sparkle), and its easily worth a reread. Read Full Review
