Sep 08, 2026Sonic the Hedgehog x Godzilla #2 keeps this unlikely crossover moving at an impressive speed, juggling kaiju chaos, Sonic's sprawling cast, and plenty of humor without losing control. Nick Marino and Jack Lawrence give Amy Rose the strongest material this time around, using her fortune cards to build an ominous thread that pays off with a satisfying cliffhanger. Eggman's growing involvement also creates some delightful visual opportunities, including a fantastic new mecha. The issue spends more time positioning characters and threats than delivering the massive monster action of the premiere, but there's enough energy and spectacle to keep this crossover firing on all cylinders. Sep 07, 2026Sonic the Hedgehog x Godzilla #2 could have been nothing more than a licensing stunt with a cool cover. Instead, this issue has actual character voice, strong comedic timing, clean action geography, and artwork that understands both speed and scale. Sometimes comics are allowed to be a giant toy box, fam. The trick is making sure somebody knows how to play with the toys. Read Full Review
