May 12, 2026Sonic the Hedgehog x Godzilla #1 is exactly what you want from a crossover like this. It moves with energy, delivers big spectacle, and understands the appeal of both worlds without overcomplicating things. Nick Marino keeps the story light on its feet while letting the concept do the heavy lifting, and the art team turns every page into a showcase of motion and destruction. It may skew toward a younger audience, but the craft and pacing make it easy for anyone to get swept up in the ride. If this issue is any indication, this is a crossover built to entertain first and ask questions later. Read Full Review

May 28, 2026Sonic the Hedgehog X Godzilla is that crossover that sounds odd on paper, yet someone capture the best of both franchises in a one wild package. Writer Nick Marino and artist Jack Lawrence deliver a fun, campy adventure while still giving Godzilla and the kaiju roster that presence we expect. Sonic the Hedgehog X Godzilla is a fun crossover that proves the Blue Blur and the King of the Monsters are a great match. Read Full Review

Jun 02, 2026Sonic the Hedgehog x Godzilla is a colorful, chaotic, charming blast of franchise fusion that remembers the golden rule of crossover comics: make it feel impossible, then make it feel inevitable. Nick Marino, Jack Lawrence, Reggie Graham, Ed Dukeshire, and the whole IDW crew bring the Blue Blur and kaiju royalty into the same arena with style, humor, and monster-sized confidence. This is big comic shop energy. This is “grab it before your friend spoils the splash pages” energy. This is “Eggman, sit down before you accidentally invent a robo-kaiju tax problem” energy. Jun 11, 2026Overall, Issue 1 is simple fun. Easy to recommend to anyone who is a casual fan of either series for the absurdity of the mashup, with bold artwork and good action, it’s a solid first outing for this unexpected crossover. I look forward to more. Read Full Review

May 12, 2026While you are probably here for Sonic and his crew taking on Monsters, Dr. Eggman can’t help but steal the show in almost every panel. The team really nailed his bigger-than-life expressions, and seeing him flying around trying to figure out how the monsters can further his own plans, especially Mechagodzilla, is some of the best stuff in the issue.
