Cliff Secord on the run! Betty in the clutches of the ghastly Otto Rune! And what is Peevy's connection to the missing scientist? All this and more... as the Rocketeer must prevent nothing less than the wrath of the Lord Himself! More pulp action in the great Dave Stevens tradition!
Hollywood Horror is a high flying hit for Rocketeer fans. The first issue was great and so is the second installment. Langridge and Bone bring a slightly different story than some of the other Rocketeer miniseries, but they keep it fun 4.5/5 Read Full Review

Once again, the artwork soars. J. Bone delivers another set of fantastically cartooned pages, filled with expressive, quirky characters and tons of energy. As stated in previous review, J. Bone's Betty is seriously on another level, and since we spend a lot of time with her in this issue, that's a very good thing. Jordie Bellaire's colors are supreme, naturally. Rocketeer: Hollywood Horror #2 has a warm palette that compliments the classic, almost silly nature of this story. There's still time to catch up with this series, and that's something you should do. Don't miss out on another superb Rocketeer adventure. Read Full Review
If you've never had the chance to check this character out, I'd really recommend doing so with this series. It's compelling and entertaining, and if you have the spare dough burning a hole in your pocket, this would be a pretty good series to put it towards. I will say, I'm very interested in reading the next issue, and you probably will be too if you give this miniseries a chance. Read Full Review

If you aren't buying these IDW Rocketeer minis, I suggest you correct this fundamental flaw in your Wednesday buying habits as close to immediately as possible. Rocketeer: Hollywood Horror is perfectly accessible to new readers, or folks who are only familiar with this world through the film, but it's also a nice treat for folks who wish Dave Stevens was still with us. And, y'know, maybe if we buy enough of these, IDW will give us a Doc Savage comic! Read Full Review
