Celebrating 35 years of TRANSFORMERS!
Reuniting the Transformers: Regeneration One team of Simon Furman and Guido Guidi!
Transformers '84 #0works as a great throwback to the original series that both new readers and older fans can enjoy and appreciate. Furman's use of the non-linear story and his examination of the war's effects on the characters is one of the shining points of the issue. Guidi's artwork is quite evocative of the 80s era and he pays homage to the original comics very well in his presentation. It is a worthy celebration of the original comics and enough to pique the interests of any new readers of this continuity to go back and check out the series that helped begin it all. Having never read any of those original Marvel Comics, this issue alone made me interesting in giving the series a look. Read Full Review

Best Transformers comic released in years.
A bit hard to follow in all honesty. The revelation near the end is interesting but the transitions in time/setting aren't always clear or organic. Also, I can't picture any version of Optimus Prime doing what is ultimately revealed that he does in this issue. He's never been Machiavellian; Megatron is supposed to be the ends-justify-the-means-guy.
