Yo-Kai Watch #1 wasn't a bad first issue but something felt off as it transitioned from Japanese mediums to an American one. Esquivel does an admirable job of tying this in with the anime allowing the youth readers to make the connection between them. If you have someone in your life who loves the anime, this is great for them and I think it will definitely be engaging for those who deeply love the characters. As a general reading it can feel schticky, but it is an interesting adaptation of this brand of media. Read Full Review
