You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff Feb 1, 2025

The truly genius bit about this whole project is that it couldnt quite be told in any other way. A narrative text-based rendering of the story would slow down the intensity of the action. Any kind of an attempt at bringing the thing alive in video or cinema would get too bogged-down in the scripting conventions of moving or streaming platforms that woud reuqite an entirely different kind of pacing that wouldnt serve Glass script at all. Blood Train is the very pulse of a modern horror comic book. Read Full Review

Nerd Initiative - Richard Coryell Jan 29, 2025

Blood Train #1 is a brutal and gory horror comic with a lot of substance. Before the horror begins you get to know the group of friends and there is an air of mystery about the true horrors that break out. Adam Glass & Andrew Dabb do an amazing job of bringing this world to life. The narrative progresses swiftly, and just when you believe you have a firm understanding, it shifts direction, leading you through an even more intense experience. Read Full Review

Chang’s art is great but not great enough to make this book… great. The story is pretty predictable and some of the pacing is jarring. One second a guy is saving the day, the next he’s somehow on top of the train?
