However, the most genius move in this whole issue is Kirkman's reveal of who is behind the attack and the reasoning. Abandoning the normal hatred and world domination trope of the villain and replacing it with an "I'm doing this for all of you and your benefit motive is a wonderful choice that makes the next steps endless in their possibilities.
