On the trail of the vampire!
Another high point happens at the very end where an evermore badass Tony Chu, given all the reason in the world to get the hell out of dodge or lay down and die, looks his guy (vampire) dead in the eye and with undying confidence proclaims, “There’s only one way this ends. I am going to kill you.” I don’t doubt you Tony Chu. Don`t doubt Tony and NEVER doubt John Layman and Rob Guillory... unless you were one of those weird kids that carved ABBA in your middle school’s desks instead. The “Bad Apples” arc feels like it's leading Tony to a big confrontation with the vampire. Given that the series still has 25 or so issues to go, it'll be interesting to see if that confrontation actually takes place, and, if so, where we'll go from there. Read Full Review

It's been a great ride so far to see how "Chew" has evolved to be larger in scope and pathos than I could have imagined, not content to rest on its considerable humor laurels. "Chew" #34 is another winning entre by Layman and Guillory, delectably maintaining the tension of the revenge plot while adding even more richness to the Chew-verse. Read Full Review
Chew is a must have on your pull list if you have not started reading it. If the studios ever make their way to this review they cannot say they were not warned: THIS is the comic you should be backing. It has all the makings of a fantastic animated series: It's funny, character-driven, suspenseful, and bloody fun"plenty for fans to munch on. Read Full Review
