You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff
Jan 28, 2026The current plot arc had played-out pretty well. It seems as though were saying good-bye to Pet City. It was a really interesting moment for the serial that seemed like a natural climax to the plot in so many ways. Its going to be interesting to see where Fleecs and company take the story with the latest development. Theres a lot that could happen in light of the current situation. Fleecs and company have been good with the pacing of the serial thus far. Theyre entering dangerous territory with the latest developments that could see the series take a turn for the worse. This issue, though? Its good. Read Full Review

The Super Powered Fancast - Deron Generally
Jan 28, 2026Fleecs crafts a dark, thrilling and entertaining story in this issue. I like Elsie’s journey and how it challenges her ideas of what her life should be. I like the breakdown of Lucky’s authority in the store as well as the final climactic battle and its resolution. The story ends on a dark note that opens up the possibility of more interesting storytelling to come. Read Full Review

Sure, it's following many of the classic tropes of a George Romero zombie movie. But that's honestly a GOOD thing!! I was thrilled to see Elsie's Spirit Guardian Cat show up again. Especially in what might have been one of her lowest points (where we had seen her at the end of issue 19) Elsie has really had a hell of a good character arc. And if you ask me, she has made up for any past mistakes. At least as far as her abandonment of Lord when he was just a kitten. I wasn't surprised at Lucky's failure as leader of Pet City. Nor was I surprised that the humans showed up more

I felt like we were on such a roll with the last few issues that when this one started, I wasn't feeling the ghost cat thing. By time the issue ended, it had me hooked and ready for the next.
