G.I. JOE: A REAL AMERICAN HERO #314 is a quick but enjoyable one-shot that sends the Joes into hostile territory to rescue a hostage, but not all is as it seems. Larry Hama delivers a fast-paced, action-packed tale with a surprising twist to keep you on your toes, and guest artist Andrew Krahnke delivers the goods with great action visuals. Read Full Review

Hama had been going through some pretty weird stuff with traditional G.I. Joe antagonists in the course of the past few issues. Its cool to see him move things around a bit and allow the Joes to engage in something thats a bit more cleverly complicated than the weird energy that comes from antagonists like Destro and Cobra Commander. Its still a very traditional Joe story, but the tight rendering of the one-shot makes it a lot of fun. Read Full Review

A fast-paced stand-alone issue with a predictable twist. The guest art by Andrew Krahnke reminds me of both Carmine Infantino and Jim Cheung, but doesn't reach those artists' quality. Definitely one of the better filler issues I read in the last months.
