At long last, Norgal and Agatha face off against the demigod-sorcerer Barra, who proves to be much more able than his frail frame implies. Meanwhile, Lulach approaches with an entire army at his back, but does he come in support or opposition of Barra's cause?

    All-Comic - Arron Ferguson Jun 11, 2016

If this relatively small (in terms of distribution) yet big (in terms of quality) miniseries has passed you by, pick up the trade when it arrives in October 2016. Head Lopper is a visually arresting, perfectly paced and devilishly funny epic of aesthetic & narrative scope, brought to life with the richest characters in comics in years. Read Full Review

Comic Crusaders - Dawn of Comics Jun 8, 2016

This quarterly title has had me hooked since issue one with its over the top violence to its witty one liners as our two heroes travel the countryside on a mission from the queen to save the lands from beasts and man alike. The action doesn't let up for a second as Norgal does what he does best and lop off heads on almost every page. The art has been some of my favourite out there while the writing hasn't let this book down with some fun interactions between the leading man and lady. Agatha is simply a joy to read with her snark and sarcasm always on hand to help Norgal remember why he hates her so very very much. It's going to be a long wait until the next story early next year. This is a fivre star book no question. All told, this is a fun conclusion to well-thought-out, visually arresting miniseries. And with more of it to come, 2017 is looking awfully bright. Read Full Review

Outright Geekery - Elfi Funaro Jul 7, 2016

It's going to be hard waiting a year for the new Head Lopper story. But this series is something to look forward to. An exaggerated over the top violently cartoony comic book tale of a big galoot who cuts off heads. It's amazing how simple this story is and how it actually works. Sometimes you don't need an over complicated plot with slick digitized art to make a great comic book. Sometimes all it takes is a good head lopping. Until we meet again Norgal, we raise our goblets in your honor. Happy Decapitating! Read Full Review

Comic Bastards - Asa Giannini Jun 8, 2016

In the end, it's not the best issue of the series, but that's frankly not saying much in a series that has been this good. In every major way, Maclean sticks the landing nicely, creating a cohesive, exciting story. The final page contains the promise of more Head Lopper to come in the form of an expanded collection and a new series next year, and I, for one, can't wait for more. Read Full Review
