    Intensity ramped up to the top level, the war for the Dead Zones is reaching boiling point setting us up for one of the biggest events in comics. A series you definitely can't miss, the creative team have taken the Spawn brand to new heights. A definite recommendation from me if you haven't picked it up yet you definitely need to.     KING SPAWN #24 does exactly what you would expect in a final battle of an arc take out the trash with extreme prejudice. The art is solid, and readers who want Spawn action get plenty of it but dont expect much by way of plot or character work. Read Full Review

    And its all punctuated by the furtive plap of a severed head at the end of an issue...and the ominous return of a guy smoking a cigarette. Honestly...the current storyline feels like it might have been running for a little long. As painstakingly written as the script is, there isnt quite enough holding the drama to the page. If Lewis and company could lean back from the action just a little bit more, the series would improve immeasurably. Lewis CAN write decent drama, and his dialogue doesnt suck. If they slow it down and let the drama creep across the page, it could feel a lot more interesting. Read Full Review
