Spawn has been making his way through the horrifying landscape, traversing the lesser-used pathways of the afterworld. Unfortunately for him, something truly dark and evil has been waiting for him there.
KING SPAWN #28 isnt a story so much as its a string of challenges Spawn must face in his trek through Hell. The challenges are dramatic, and Fernandezs art is fantastic, but this issue is, at best, nothing more than an excuse to make the trip from A to B look interesting. Read Full Review
The main reason this issue for me gets a whopping 10 isn’t the fabulous art which is an absolute treat but the way Spawn uses his violence as a way to show Hell in all its dimensions exactly who is the King. Trying to avoid spoilers but it’s a quick read that has many hidden gems and layers all at the same time. This is the reason I still love comics after nearly 60 years!!!!!
