An official meeting of top German officials in a nearby town spells trouble for operations in The Sticks. But, something much worse is about to arrive.
This is not the best issue to jump in on since you'll have no damn idea what is happening, but even still everyone needs somewhere to start. If you are new to the series then you're in for a treat and if those last five pages don't sell you on the series then nothing will. If this was my first time reading it, you can bet your ass I'd go back and get the other eleven issues because of it and I wouldn't be disappointed either. Tyler Jenkins has improved as an artist a great deal since this series began. The first few issues were impressive, but they weren't as clear and focused as his work is now. Jenkins is embracing his own unique voice and style as an artist, and in doing so, has achieved a new level of excellence in his work. Perhaps he endeavored to match the all-star performance his writer is laying down, but whatever his motivation, the marked improvement in the visuals is more than welcome and has taken this series to new heights. This is easily one of the best comic series going from any publisher. It is just really damn good on all levels, but it is especially fantastic when you begin to feel and relate to the characters. Peter Panzerfaust #12 is not perfect by any stretch of the imagination but there's enough within the confines of these pages to keep the overall quality of the series alive and well as it earns a recommendation from me. Read Full Review
