As Garing said in our interview, there's been a lot of stories similar to Planetoid. Just at Image, I can name more than a few series that are similar to the first volume. What makes Planetoid and Planetoid: Praxis stand out from the crowd is its unique voice and masterful storytelling. While I can think of a lot of titles that are like Planetoid I can't think of one that's better than it or better than Praxis which is a triumphant return to the world and very likely the best book of the week. Science fiction has a new leader for #1 lists of 2017. Much like its original series I was left pondering the characters, the world, and their situation. Garing has a series I'm already prepared to buy on sight. This is science fiction that's deeply meaningful and captivating. Read Full Review
After just the first issue its evident that this is going to be a must read series. Though reminiscent of other classic comics such as Metabarons, Fear Agent or Black Science, Praxis remains a superbly original book in its own right. Planetoid Praxis is a fully realized world, with detail and finely tuned characters that immediately draw you in and hold your attention. As modern a book as it may be, you wont be able to deny the nostalgic qualities either. Planetoid Praxis has a little bit of everything to offer, which only adds up to a lot of excitement.Tell your local shop to get on this if they havent ordered it yet and be sure and add it to your pull list. Wow, so I was skeptical on my first sci-fi comic. The artwork is intriguing and captivating, and the story left wanting more. Well laid out with great visuals. But after reading this it made me go hunt out Planetoid and I am hooked. Definite add to pull list for sci-fi fans.
