After crash-landing in a vast heap of space junk, wayward space-pirate Silas now journeys on to an area of the planetoid, known as "The Slab". It's rumored that human tribes eke out a living on this endless surface of fabricated metal... BUT, so do gangs of sadistic robots! Silas will have to gather information and find allies in order to make a stand against the larger tyrannical forces that control the planetoid.
I'm still really digging this book. Ken Garing is offering the comic book world a type of science fiction that few others seem interesting in creating at the moment, but more importantly, Garing is doing a fabulous job of telling his story. With his gorgeous art and uncanny ability to create stunning vistas, I'm only getting more excited for this book. Read Full Review
There is, however, a way off of the Planetoid, which gives the reader a glimmer of hope for Silas, whose prospects were otherwise looking very bleak. Of course, the evil robot army may pose a bit of a problem, but I'm rooting for, “Lord Silas,” and his pea shooter. Read Full Review
Finally, alot of credit and respect has to go to Ken Garing. After two great opening issues, its impressive the amount of work that's done by one person on a monthly title. Garing is the artist, story writer and letterer. In short, Planetoid is his work, and the benefits of a unified, single vision can easily be seen in Planetoid #2. Read Full Review
I suggest picking this up if you haven’t already. It’s a great Sci-fi story that’s simple yet captivating. The story draws you in and doesn’t let you down from the first issue like some stories can do. But I do have one question: Why do so many lizards have to die and how are they surviving on this planet of twisted metal? Maybe in issue three. Read Full Review
Garing has a great series going with Planetoid. This sci-fi space story is heads above the rest and is worth checking out. From art to story, Garing is nailing ever panel in this book. Image is constantly putting out great books, and this is on the top of the list. I give Planetoid a 4/5. Read Full Review
