I go back and forth a lot on what is the best Image series out right now, but I lean more and more towards Revival each month. When I have my pile of comics I like to save one or two of the best series for last that way I end my reading experience on a high note; so when I throw caution into the wind and read your book first then there is definitely something special about it. Revival #5 is packed full of crazy alien possession, snowmobile chases, intense plot twists and disturbing gore. It is definitely picking up the pace as this issue reads faster than the previous, but covers more ground. Dana realizes that her sister has been calling Professor Aaron Weimar, the teacher she had become involved with when she was younger. She thought this was all over, but obviously not, to her disgust. Towards the end, we see Martha outside Professor Weimar's house. Is this affair still going on? We also see a couple of insights into the way the story will go, as we are shown Mrs. Hettinga alarmingly reading a note she was left and an old hermit making a rare trip into town, leaving a newborn creature at his house. Loads of twists still grace this story, especially with Martha still having a thing for Professor Weimar and the scenes of Mrs Hettinga and the old hermit. Another well-deserved 9/10. In short, whilst it is a bit of a mixed bag, Revival #5 is still worth a read. The main story gets more and more interesting as the puzzle slowly unravels. Read Full Review
Still, all that said, Im not down on the series. I have a feeling when it picks up the pace and the characters are more fully fleshed out, the story-telling will become less cluttered and more in-depth. When that happens, this will be one of the better series Image is producing. Read Full Review
