The Infernals #5 was an awesome finale to a great arc. Noah Gardner & Ryan Parrott wrote a terrific story that from start to finish was amazing. The Infernals had a lot of potential. Its still really, really difficult to tell whether or not the series lived-up to its potential. Theres such a sense of duplicity about the nature of everyone in the entirety of the story that its difficult to tell quite precisely who was lying and who wasnt as the series draws to a close. Thats part of what makes the series fun, but its also a part of what makes it difficult to really assess even at the end of the final issue. Time will pass. The trade paperback will come out next month. Maybe there will be some form of insight into whats transpired before the series gets its inevitable resurrection in a subsequent series at some point in the future.... Read Full Review
Very good finale, loved the final page. The chess game and reveal of plans inter-cut with the plans being executed was a classic storytelling device that was done well here. I could definitely see this as an HBO series. Fun story from start to finish.
