Kieron Gillen, Jamie McKelvie, and Matthew Wilson hit that lovely sweet spot between action and characterization in WicDiv #26 while adding a little madness to what is definitely not going to be a straightforward flawed people put aside their differences to fight a greater evil narrative and ransacking character relationships in the process. Gillen, who has worked so painstakingly to build the rules of his world, at long last allows his characters to break them. The appearance of a threatening and mysterious enemy opens the story to a number of intriguing possibilities, especially with the fractured Pantheon divided in how best to face them. Read Full Review
This series continues to be a fun read. This issue shows the enigmatic and selfish nature of the gods, and adds to the mystery of what is going on with Persephone.
