Void Rivals #24 is a good conclusion to the current storyline that sets things up nicely for the big "Quintesson War" storyline to come. Read Full Review

Comic Book Revolution - Kevin Lainez

Void Rivals #24 is the chapter this series very much needed. There were a lot of intense things that have happened the last few issues. There needed to be a chapter where everyone assess the impact of what happened with the Agorria and Zertonia going to war. Read Full Review

For readers betting on a comic's bang-for-the-buck, VOID RIVALS #24 is the equivalent of a hot tip at the races exciting, occasionally chaotic, but rarely dull. It deserves a slot in your budget if visual spectacle and high-stakes drama are your jam, but those thirsty for surgical storytelling may want to hedge their bets. Just don't count on keeping all your marbles in the bag; Kirkman and crew are rolling them straight into the next cosmic meat grinder. Read Full Review

After what I perceived as a bit of a stumble with issue 23, Void Rivals 24 seems to get things back on track ... almost. It still feels like the story is meandering a bit and spending too much time lost in the weeds. The intercutting between the 5 plots worked to keep the pace moving without too much really happening. Things seem to be pointing towards a shift coming with issue 25 and I think the narrative could use a shake up to stay interesting. The writing is still better than many other comics ... I just wish more would happen in each issue.
