The final issue of volume two of Astonisher is here! A surprising new player from last issue released a new weapon upon the populace, so it's up to Magnus and Sasha to save his fractured family, his friends, and a bunch of other people who they don't even know. No pressure, right? The true challenge is Magnus facing his biggest fear: returning to space to face the very thing that caused his downfall in the first place.
Thhough the whole series thus far has been good, the thing that is holding it back is that #9 is not really a stand alone issue and I had to go back about 5 issues to remind my self what was going on. The layouts in Astonisher #9 continues to impress; however there were about 3 pages of panels that could have been better utilized to remind the audience who the big baddie is.
