After a pogrom chases them out of their home, Alex and Yuli flee to a forest in the Ukrainian countryside, where the opposing forces of the Russian Civil War are poised to clash. Desperately seeking shelter from the cold, the siblings take refuge in a lonely hunting cabin only to realize that their new host may be just as dangerous as the threats that await them out in the wild.

    Graphic Policy - Brett Jan 17, 2024

Edenfrost #2 continues an intriguing series. The story slowly teases out the mystical aspects of it all while the comic keeps reminding readers there's actual history involved in the comic. It also breaks a mold of keeping Jewish lead characters in certain situations, diving a bit into Judaism that you don't see too often. Overall, an intriguing series that has us interested in seeing what's next. Read Full Review

Comical Opinions - Gabriel Hernandez Jan 19, 2024

EDENFROST #2 slows down the urgency in favor of an exposition-heavy issue to reveal the nature of Alexs power and the predicament the siblings find themselves in with their savior. Tishler deserves credit for taking the legend of a Golem and giving it a magically fascinating twist, and Frendas art is some of the best to come of Mad Cave in a while. That said, the exposition dampens the pacing, and not all of it is worthwhile. Read Full Review

    Thoughts…

This issue starts off with a massive reveal about a certain aspect of the story that is present in such a visually stunning way, I was not expecting something like that so early in the series but it perfectly sets up the serious nature of the story, the children must survive no matter what.

The last issue ended with the children in a very dangerous situation, to be fair the whole issue they were not safe for a moment. This issue picks up right after that cliffhanger ending and without spoilers, they seem to be no safer though potentially there is a chance for a breather. Ther more
