Eight issues in, Speed Racer is still firing on all cylinders. Pepose pulls off the rare trick of stepping away from a series' core hook for an issue and using the detour to make the whole engine run better. There’s nothing “filler” about this issue. Speed Racer #8 brings us a beautiful love story that is complimented by the amazing action-filled story we’ve become accustomed to in this series. Even though the love story takes center stage, the humor and action are second none. This series has been consistently entertaining and amazing, which proves why it’s one of the best titles on the shelf. If you are not reading Speed Racer, you need to grab a copy ASAP and dive headfirst into this world! Read Full Review

Bottom line this is one of the most exciting, high-energy comics on the shelves right now. It’s fun, it’s explosive, and it proves Mad Cave Studios knows exactly how to take a classic property and make it feel brand new without losing its soul. Full throttle, no brakes, all WEPA.
