Mark and Stacey set out to build the world's first starship powered by magic. But through trial and error, they realize they're still missing one important part of the team-an engineer. Meanwhile, Bobby tries to impress the cutthroat General Irving with rescue drones that could fly into combat situations and save lives. But when Bobby is kicked out for not thinking of weapons applications, he's brought into the fold by Mark and Stacey to help build their vessel. Can Bobby and Mark survive the first test flight of The Stargazer? Or will Mark's impatience to save his brother seal their doom?

An astronaut, a magician, and a coffee addict decide to build a spaceship! The ultimate goal here is a rescue mission; however, there's no denying these 3 are exactly where they want to be right now. The New Space Age is the perfect combination of action-packed story, mystery, heart, and humor. Read Full Review

THE NEW SPACE AGE #2 does enough to justify a slot on your pull list, but not enough to demand one. The issue advances the main quest, adds a useful wild card in Bobby, and sneaks in a last-page decision that could set up real drama. At the same time, it reads like a fast-forward montage of what should be the meaty middle of a sci-fi mystery, trimming the very scenes that would make the stakes hit harder. Read Full Review

Hopefully, all the preamble has been worked through now, and the next issue gets the main show on the road, or else things might start to wear out their welcome. And we don’t want that. There’s still a ton of potential in the core concept of this book, and if the team plays their cards right, then when all is said and done, we should end up with a fun story from start to finish.
