Joe Kelly's "American Son" is still riding high, a perfect example of what kind of title Amazing Spider-Man can be when it's done right. Whilst it's still very much a middle chapter of the larger "American Son" storyline (and one that seems more concerned with Harry and Norman Osborn than it does with Spidey himself), Amazing Spider-Man #598 contains at least one major revelation and several fairly compelling scenes that promise to drive the storyline towards an interesting conclusion. This might not be the greatest Spider-Man story ever told, but it's not something that's going to disappoint fans of the book either. Read Full Review
All told, "American Son" has been disappointing so far, especially considering how great this book has become over the past year. Perhaps the end result will be worth the trip, but right now I miss the fun, engaging book that used to come out every week or so; and hope it won't be gone very long. Read Full Review
