All in all, I've been very impressed with what I've seen in the Infinite Comics. The stories themselves have been interesting, even though both offerings have featured characters I have never considered "favorites" of mine. Mark Waid, I'm convinced, could interest me in any character ever created and the razzle-dazzle of the Infinite Comic concept is enough to grab my attention. As a story, Avengers vs. X-Men #6: Infinite does work. As an exciting platform for a new medium... well, it's still a work-in-progress. The price point does make this a good purchase for die-hard Cyclops fans who want to see him deal with the cosmic force that killed his wife, and for some, that will be enough.
