CHAOS WAR tie-in! The Vision. Captain Mar-Vell. Yellowjacket. Deathcry. Swordsman. Dr. Druid. All lost their lives in the line of duty...or in disgrace. When Earth's Mightiest Heroes are themselves laid low in the carnage of the CHAOS WAR and the graves give up their dead, these six find themselves mysteriously returned, to RE-ASSEMBLE against the CHAOS KING's most fearsome ally -- one of the Avengers' greatest foes! It’s a final chance at redemption, a second life, and most importantly, to prove -- once and for all -- that they are worthy of the name... AVENGERS.

A nice event tie-in that doesn't try to be more than it is with really neat old-styled art. Read Full Review

This is a supplemental tale to the main story and it feels like it. It is not diminished to a "Red Skies" type of tie-in, but it certainly seems more self-important than impactful to the grander tale. Knock "Chaos War" off of the cover and this story might very easily stand on its own merit. The foe introduced here plays nicely against the selected not-so-dead Avengers. Van Lente and Grummett have a fun concept here, but with the cast of characters assembled it is a very tightly focused, small target audience buying into the concept. Read Full Review

If you're reading Chaos War, borrow this book from a friend, but only if you're REALLY interested; otherwise, just pass it up. There's no real saving grace to this issue, and you'd be better off picking up something else. Read Full Review
