By far the worst of the early 90s' many attempts to replicate the success of the Death of Superman, this story has six million moving parts and not a one of them is interesting. And in the end, the rebirth of Daredevil's secret identity happens as a result of a minor subplot wholly unrelated to the main plot and the decision to abandon his life as Matt Murdock (which Chichester had mostly been ignoring for the previous two years) happens in just a few pages with no particular drama or occasion beyond a clumsy, fanfic-y return to a Born Again plot — hardly a comparison it seems wise to invite.

What a stupidly and unnecessarily complicated plot this all was. It's interesting how Matt fakes his own death here to preserve the safety of the people he loves, but it isn't really the focus of this or the next arc and isn't given the weight a big moment like this deserves.
The whole thing with Snakeroot is a complete waste of time. These characters suck so much and feel like generic comic book slop. Six issues of bloated plot and no emotional significance or weight to it. It's just bad writing, especially around Elektra's return. I don't know how else to describe it, I'd expect better writing out of a soap opera. I think calling Fall from Grace messy is putting it a little politely, now that I've finished it. McDaniel at more
